First of all, a big "THANK YOU" for submitting your resume for evaluation!  As you may have already read, SearchBuddy is a recruiting firm. We are retained by employers to qualify candidates who actively respond to a job posting.  Employers call us when they do not have the time or internal resources to do this work themselves.

SearchBuddy does not place postings for the sake of building a database of candidates. The openings we post are real and you are being qualified for a specific employer and job opportunity.

1. When you respond to an ad placed by SearchBuddy, your resume will be read and compared to the criteria established by the employer. We evaluate resumes for skills, depth of experience, proximity to the job (if no relocation is offered) clarity of presentation, stated objectives and salary compatibility.
2. If your resume meets the employer’s requirements, a telephone interview will be conducted by Searchbuddy to learn more about your work history, motivation and goals. The interviews are typically conducted by appointment. 
3. After our interview, SearchBuddy will make a recommendation to the employer, but please understand that we do not control the final decision about which candidate will be chosen for a face to face interview.  
4. If you are chosen for interview by the employer, SearchBuddy will remain in the picture to help facilitate communication and provide feedback and encouragement. We obviously want you to succeed!  However, if we learn that you are not going to be offered the job, we will let you know as soon as possible.  We promise.  There is nothing worse than not knowing an outcome and we understand that.

Generally, SearchBuddy will begin to contact candidates for a telephone interview within 3 business days after the job is posted. Interviews with the employer may happen quickly or there could be a delay.  Employer time frames change and can be hard to predict.

Is there anything else I should know?

Actually, there is. SearchBuddy often reviews several hundred resumes a week and unfortunately we don’t have time to contact everyone or answer inquiries about the status of your resume.  Please rest assured, your resume and cover letter will be read and evaluated.  If your background fits the requirements of the employer you will be contacted.  If you are not contacted, it simply means that there were other candidates that matched the criteria more exactly, nothing more.  We ask for your understanding on this matter!  Thank you again and we hope to help you land the job of your dreams!
